Care N Safe is made by A & B International in Alappuzha, Kerala. The objective it set itself was not to add one more sanitary napkin to a crowded shelf. It was to educate — about what a pad is made of, what it rests against, and what that adds up to over a lifetime of use.
That objective became a product built around a single idea: “Healthy uterus, Healthy baby.” A napkin free of harmful chemicals, designed for protection rather than absorbency alone, and priced so that premium care is not something a woman has to be able to afford.
The intention has not shifted since: to become every woman’s trusted companion for intimate wellness, and to build a movement that treats womanhood with safety and dignity rather than discretion.
Five ordinary things, none of them dramatic, that together decide how a week feels.
01Discomfort
A product worn for days at a time is rarely designed as though it were. Heat, chafing and the constant small awareness of it are treated as the price of the week.
02Awareness
Most of us were never told what a pad is actually made of, or that the answer varies enormously between one brand and the next.
03Stigma
It is still bought wrapped in newspaper, still called by every word except its own, still explained in whispers to the girls who need it explained plainly.
04Access
Quality protection is available. It is not always affordable, and it is not always nearby — which for a great many women amounts to the same thing.
05Everyday protection
Between a long commute, a full shift and a night of sleep, the demands on one pad are not modest. Very little is built for all three.
